Our home’s roof was damaged by the Memorial Day, 2008, hail storm. After many years of talking about it we had to finally replace our shingles – all four layers of them! This included cedar shake shingles that were the
original roof, installed over 100 years ago.

With no complaints from the CK roofing team, they tore off a mountain of damaged roofing and completely re-decked the roof on our home. The debris filled two huge dumpsters.

Not only did they give me a beautiful brand new roof, but Chuck also went the extra mile and advised me on fixing my rafters as well. He worked diligently with my insurance company to make sure we were covered properly. He was available to meet the adjustors, he came by our house to follow up on the work being done, and he answered any and all questions I had along the way. His crew was very kind and got the job done in a timely manner. They will be installing new floor, walls and ceiling in my porch this fall and I can’t wait to see the great job they will do. CK Roofing did an excellent job repairing my home from damage due to a storm in June of 2017. The roofs, siding, & gutters all needed to be replaced. Charles worked diligently with the insurance company when the siding could not be matched, & I ended up with new siding for my entire house. That was no easy task. Each job was done exactly on time, or sooner. The crew cleaned up great at the end of each day. 9 times out of 10, Charles answered the phone when I called. On those few rare occasions that he missed my call, he returned my call within an hour. Charles & his wife always explained things in a manner that I could understand & they were absolutely delightful to work with. I will definitely call C.K. Roofing & Construction, Inc., the next time work needs to be done on my house. They were very professional, & a pleasure to do business with.

This winter one of my apartment building flat roofs developed several leaks and needed to be replaced. Per a referral I contacted CK Roofing. CK Roofing was exceptional from the initial phone conversation through to the completion of the project.

Charles was very thorough in investigating the roof, explaining the scope of the work and the bid for the project. CK Roofing truly understands all the facets of the flat roofing systems and the drainage issues we were having. During the course of the project we discovered problems with the built in drain system. CK Roofing had the right contractors out there that afternoon to address the issues. This immediate response to the hidden obstacles in every project kept the project on schedule.

Charles and his crew were fast, exceptionally neat and very professional with great communication throughout the process. In May/June of 2017 we had a huge hail storm, the sky turned green, 4 inches of golf ball size hail fell in ten minutes. The wind was so loud my family and I were huddled next to each other in the basement and we could not hear each other shouting. We had hard board siding that was stained with acid from leaves, all of our gutters were smashed, all of our fascia was dented, the shingle roof on our house and the metal roof on our pole shed needed to be replaced. We have Farmers insurance, we had an adjuster out there within 2 days trying to give us less than 10,000 then he bumped it up to 19 etc… It was just a joke. Usually I represent myself and do my own work, I find most contractors just don’t care about my property the way that I do, and many of them are sub par to what I can do myself. I usually end up frustrated by the people I hire. Farmers was not taking me seriously, I needed to find a licensed contractor to help advocate for me. I had 4 people out to talk about it. Chuck aka Charles the owner of C and K roofing was the only guy who looked like he had been working, he looked me in the eye, seemed trustworthy and told me he had a guy he uses in cases like mine to talk to the insurance company. I liked Chuck. He said they would help me get everything I was owed. They did. We got money for new paint on all four sides of the house, new fascia, new gutters, new roofing, new roof on the pole barn, a bunch of my aluminum window wraps. When they were done the exterior of my house looked beautiful, brand new. The timing was great, there were a few storms in our area that year. These guys were busy. Chuck was running multiple crews. With my insisting on multiple appointments with the appraiser to keep bumping up the insurance money there was a real risk my project would have fallen behind in Chuck’s scheduling. He made sure to get everything done within a reasonable amount of time every step of the way. With the multiple disciplines involved and the multiple adjustment appointments we were into this project about 2-3 months start to finish. That is not bad for everything we did. All of Chuck’s subs were very friendly and clean. I never felt uncomfortable or like I had to “keep an eye” on anyone. Whenever I had a comment people were very responsive and interested in keeping me happy. Over all we are very happy we went with C and K Roofing. We didn’t make our last payment until a couple weeks after the job was done. It was made sitting around our dinner table my wife and I, Chuck and his wife. No fuss, no muss, very nice people. Long story short. Chuck told me what he would do. Chuck did not make any false promises up front. We made a deal. He fulfilled his obligation. Chuck is a man of his word. He owns C and K Roofing. They are a company local to my town in Scandia MN. Would I hire him again? Yes.
